In ensuring academic excellence, a Parents Orientation organized by Southville International School affiliated with Foreign Universities (SISFU) was held to gather parents of new students to be informed of the school’s system and initiatives as their children takes on the challenge of college.
In this manner, parents were given a better understanding of the school’s overall mission and vision, and how they can help the school ensure success of the students.
On board during the event was a renowned speaker and the Chief Disturber of Business Works Inc., Mr. Anthony Pangilinan who engaged the parents with the topic ‘Life as a Parent: Guiding your children in making decisions.’ Married with five kids, a passionately driven talk on supporting the parents in the journey of upbringing primarily focused on being the best role models for them and identifying their child’s gifts, and letting them be an achiever not just in school, but in life. The school was also honored to have Ms. Ida Henares, a parent of a SISFU student Matthew Henares, who spoke in behalf of her son, who is now on internship in Australia, on how the school served as an instrument of helping Matthew, find his passion in cooking.
As SISFU looks to provide more opportunities for students in reaching greater heights in education, the university stands together with its parents and students to be the avenue in academic achievement.
