Global Minds Unite: SISFU’s International University Fair Goes to Visayas
In its continued commitment to pioneering transnational education in the Philippines, SISFU held another installment of its successful academic affair entitled: “Global Minds Unite: SISFU’s International University Fair" last May 2024. A series of events were held in Bacolod and in Cebu catering to students in the Visayas region. Members of the SISFU board and staff facilitated the roadshow, explaining the unique benefits of a SISFU education. In attendance were Dr. Jocelyn P. Tizon, President, Dr. Nancy De Guia, Executive Vice President, Mr. Daniel Steel - Dean of Academics, Mr. Jonathan D. Borja, Programme Chair and Ma. Cristina Aguilar, Director of PR/Marketing at SISFU. Representing one of SISFU’s international partner universities was Mr. Ian Thomas - Associate Dean, International of De Montfort University in Leicester, UK.
The series of events were specially made with current and incoming Senior High School and College students in mind. University exhibits, academic counseling, and career advising opportunities were made available to students during this much-awaited event. Scholarships were also available onsite for qualified student applicants.
It was a showcase of world-class programmes offered by SISFU in the fields of Business, Hospitality, Computing, and Culinary made possible through acclaimed international university partners De Montfort University UK, Pearson UK, James Cook University Australia, Southern Cross University Australia, Wrexham Glyndwr UK, Swiss Hotel Management School Switzerland, The Hotel School Australia, and Macquarie University Australia.
