SISFU Goes to The Great British Festival Featured
Last October, The Great British Festival 2024 was held at Bonifacio High Street, Taguig City. This event held by the British Chamber of Commerce Philippines and the British Council was a celebration of Philippines-UK Friendship Day, aiming to promote mutual socioeconomic growth through education, technology, and environmental efforts.
Among the esteemed guests were British Ambassador to the Philippines Laure Beaufils. "It was 78 years ago that Britain was not well-known to Filipinos because we are farther. What we've been wanting to do is change that and not make us geographically distanced. Our relationship has grown significantly".
The Great British Festival featured stalls from Filipino and British businesses and institutions, including representatives from British universities and schools. SISFU was honored to be among the exhibitions as it was an excellent opportunity to showcase our UK educational partners, De Montfort University and Pearson UK. One of the highlights of the event was the talk given by SISFU SHS and DMU graduate Kimberly Pal-et who was invited by the British Council to talk about Study UK and the unique experience of a transnational education.
The two-day celebration was a remarkable event alongside various partners, students, alumni, and the British Ambassador, celebrating the richness of UK culture. We look forward to milestones and a growing relationship with the UK through fostering transnational education.
