A Toast to Sansó: From Canvas to Charcuterie

At SISFU, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom—and our students prove this every day. A Toast to Sansó was a shining example of what makes our community truly unique: student-led creativity, collaboration, and initiative.

The event celebrated the works of the late Presidential Merit Awardee and renowned artist Juvenal Sansó, with pieces from the personal collection of SISFU’s very own Mr. Anton Bermudez. Guests were treated to an intimate viewing of Sansó’s vivid paintings—his surreal blooms and striking palettes reflecting the many places he called home, from Manila to Spain and France.

But what made this event stand out was not just the art—it was our students who brought the celebration to life. SISFU students Anton Bermudez and Mateo Laurel, both De Montfort University Business students, led a live charcuterie-making demonstration, transforming the exhibit into a multisensory experience. With the skilled assistance of Culinary Arts students, they guided attendees through the artistry of arranging cheeses, fruits, and accompaniments into elegant spreads that were as visually stunning as Sansó’s works themselves.

The success of the event was also made possible by the tireless efforts of student volunteers from the Senior High Society, whose support ensured that every guest felt welcome and engaged. Their dedication reflects the strong culture of leadership and teamwork we cultivate at SISFU.

This blend of art, gastronomy, and student initiative highlights what sets SISFU apart: our students don’t just learn—they lead, create, and share their talents with the community. A Toast to Sansó was more than an art exhibit; it was proof of the passion, creativity, and professionalism that SISFU students bring to everything they do.

We are proud of our students for making this event truly unforgettable—and we look forward to more student-led initiatives that inspire, connect, and showcase the global mindset of SISFU.
