Part-Time Data Science Lecturer
- Job Description
- We’re seeking an enthusiastic and experienced educator to deliver our Transnational Education Curriculum in Data Science on a part-time, fully onsite basis at our Las Piñas campus. You will lead intensive modules – including Machine Learning (classification, regression, clustering, deep learning), Advanced Programming for Data Analysis (R, Python, SQL, Julia, MATLAB; software design, clean coding, unit/integration testing), Applied Analytical Models (regression, factor/discriminant/time-series analysis; qualitative vs. quantitative methods) and Big Data Analytics & Visualization (the “V’s” of Big Data, lifecycle management, dashboarding with PowerBI/Tableau/AWS/Azure, Gestalt design principles). In this role, you will design and deliver lectures, hands-on labs, and research projects; guide students through problem definition, data preparation, algorithm implementation, model evaluation and deployment; and assess learning via research and practical-based assignments, and interactive presentations.
- Qualifications & Requirements
- Academic – Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field.
- Professional – Minimum 3 years of industry or higher-ed teaching experience covering data analysis, ML, or big-data platforms.
- Technical – Proficiency in at least two data-analysis languages (R, SAS, SQL, Python), plus familiarity with general programming (C++, Java, C#). Hands-on experience with machine-learning libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch), big-data tools (Hadoop/Spark), and visualization frameworks (Tableau, PowerBI).
- Soft Skills – Excellent communication, collaborative mindset to work with international partners, strong project and classroom management skills, and a commitment to continuous curriculum enhancement.
- Logistics – Availability to teach onsite (Las Piñas) – preferably weekday schedule; ability to commit 3-6 contact hours per week.
NON-TEACHING ASSOCIATE
School Health/Medical Assistant
- Graduate of Nursing or a related healthcare course (e.g., Medical Technology, Public Health, etc.).
- Licensed or certified as a health professional is an advantage but not required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid certification preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well to students, parents, and staff.
