A Celebration of 26 Years: DMU Enhancement Week

From February 26 to March 5, 2024, SISFU-DMU held its much-awaited Enhancement Week – an enriching lineup of events for students. The week-long showcase consisted of a curated blend of cultural celebrations, expert talks, academic showcases, and professional masterclasses designed to broaden horizons and deepen understanding as SISFU celebrates its 26th Anniversary.

Feb 26: SISFU’s 26th Anniversary & DMU Enhancement Week Kickoff 

In a frenzy of celebration to kickstart the Enhancement Week, students worked together in colorful collaboration to create booths representing different countries with competitions for Best in National Attire, Best Talent Presentation, and Best International Festival. 

Talented DMU students also showcased their talents during the opening ceremonies much to the excitement of everyone present.

Feb 27: Industry Expert Talks

Students were treated to two enlightening talks from industry leaders. Lahat Group General Manager, Mr. Kent Omison, MBA, DPA shared his experiences and thoughts about startup success. Students also gained insights into the cryptocurrency world via online learning with Dr. M. Balaji, PhD, Associate Professor of Central College Bangalore University sharing his knowledge about the growing industry.

Feb 29: Industry Visits

Students learned the ropes about the much needed life insurance industry through visits to Insular Life and EastWest Ageas Insurance, enhancing understanding about wealth management and discovering unique strategies companies employ to engage their target markets.

March 1: Academic and Leadership Insights

enKindle.org Founder, Tessa Yuvienco, delivered a workshop on Effective Presentation & Communication while Anna Villaruz, HR Manager at Southville International School & Colleges, talked about Gender Empowerment.

March 5: Masterclass Series

To conclude the DMU Enhancement Week, students will be treated to a lineup of masterclasses from no less than the C-suite business leaders:

1. Global Insights with Nas: Elevating Customer Experience by DMU’s Faculty Head of Global Partnerships, Ms. Nas Harrison, FHEA, CMBE, with unique customer insights directly from our esteemed DMU Link Tutor.
2. From our own canteen came Innovating the Future: The Kraver’s Canteen Story with CEO Mr Victor S. Lim, who will share his journey and innovations of Kraver’s Canteen. 
3. In a masterful talk about storytelling in a professional setting, Mastering Boardroom Narratives by CEO of Inspire Leadership Consultancy, Inc., Mr Jeff Manhilot, will share his techniques on how to use words and actions powerfully in the workplace.  

The DMU Enhancement Week is a testament to DMU and SISFU’s continued commitment to provide students with quality learning inside and outside the classroom.
