DMU Enhancement Week – ASEAN Youth Engagement Summit Speakers Address SISFU and SISC students

November 8, 2018 – Speakers from the Southeast Asian Leaders Organization (SEALO), the organizers of the ASEAN Youth Engagement Summit (AYES) 2019, shared their insights with SISFU and SISC business students. Covering topics ranging from:

  • Introduction to ASEAN and Relationship to Business and Trade
  • Introduction to UN Sustainable Development Goals and Relationship to Business and Trade
  • Importance of Leadership and Teamwork in Business

This headline seminar event was hosted by Josuard Alex Gonzales, Chairperson of SEALO, John Mark Jacinto, Co-Chairperson for Operations of SEALO, and Manuel Ayala Buendia, founder of The Young Entrepreneur.

Students were excited to learn more about the UN Sustainable Development Goals and ASEAN and engaged in a lively Q&A session following the event. The UN and ASEAN recognize the reality that the youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow. Southville prepares students to seize the future they envision and make it a reality with the 5C’s (Competence, Character, Collaboration, Commitment to Achieve and Creativity). The event was held in Luxembourg Hall in Southville International School and Colleges and served as part of SISFU’s DMU Enhancement Week for 3rd year undergraduate students.
