SISFU continues to champion student wellness, and our latest workshop, “Emotional Regulation and Mindfulness,” with Teacher Tala Alzona of Reinventing Play (REPLAY), was another meaningful step forward.
Students learned simple but powerful ways to understand and manage their emotions—like Daily Check-Ins, Stop–Breathe–Think moments, and Mindful Doing. These small practices showed everyone just how big an impact mindfulness can have in bringing balance and calm to everyday life.
To wrap up the session, everyone teamed up for the Mindful Builders Gingerbread House Challenge! It was full of teamwork, creativity, and lots of laughter.
It was a day of learning, connection, and being fully present—a reminder that mindfulness isn’t just about staying calm, but enjoying every moment with the people around us.
