After the success of last year’s event, SISFU hosted its second International University Fair themed “Global Minds Unite” last February 8 and 9, 2025 at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay. It was another successful installment of the much-awaited fair with over 400 registrants. The event was made possible with the support of ANZCHAM Philippines and the British Chamber of Commerce Philippines.
The event was showcase of different international universities featuring SISFU’s foreign university partners namely De Montfort University, Pearson UK, Swiss Hotel Management School, Southern Cross University, Macquarie University, James Cook University, Anglia Ruskin University, University of Dundee, University of Derby, University of Central Lancashire, and The Hotel School Australia.
Other universities and agencies were also present for school consultation like Deakin University, AECC Philippines, AUG Student Services Manila, Global Visa Support, Study Group, and Clearsource Visa assistance.
In a talk by the British Council, they discussed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), the world’s most popular high-stakes English language proficiency test for study, work and migration. They discussed how the IELTS can help aspiring students attain much awaited foreign credentials.
International faculty members from UK partner De Montfort University, Dr. Kevin Roe and Mr. Ed Thompson were in attendance during the educational fair and highlighted the key role of transnational education in improving lives.
SISFU’s Director of Strategy and Partnerships and Dean of Academics Mr. Daniel Steel discussed SISFU’s well-designed programmes that deliver international credentials while completing studies in the Philippines.
Members of the Southville Global Education Network (SGEN) were also present: Southville International Schools and Colleges, Stonyhurst Southville International School Batangas, South Mansfield College, South SEED LPDH College, Southville Monarchs International School, and Asian SEED Academy of Technology.
SISFU ambassador and Star Magic artist Maxine Trinidad shared her experience as a student and how the school is helping her achieve her educational goals while pursuing her show business dreams.
Another SISFU ambassador and proud paladin Janine Teñoso serenaded participants with her chart-topping hits much to the delight of attendees.
To round off the jam packed two-day affair, exciting prizes were raffled off including roundtrip domestic and international flights from Philippine Airlines. SISFU looks forward to the next international university fair highlighting its pioneering efforts in bolstering transnational education in the Philippines.
