Jarlos Tops the SGEN-RCMS Stock Market Challenge

Last October 10, 2012 at the Bistro Lima, Mr. Anglebert Jarlos, 3rd year Business Management of School of Business and Computing, was declared as the Brent Torrance Value Investor Awardee among other participating students from different Southville Global Education Netwok (SGEN)  schools in a 6-month trading competition, which started on February 13, 2012 and ended on August 31, 2012. Mr. Brent James Torrance, an Australian philanthropist and successful businessman to whom the award was named after, gave an inspirational talk about the proper values a good investor must have. For this Stock Market Challenge, SGEN was in partnership with  Rotary Club of Makati Salcedo (RCMS). Engr. Francisco Abayari, Jr. and Mr. Angelito “Boy” Dizon, RCMS’s past president and founder of the Capital Market Learning Center were present. Dr. Melva Diamante, SFU President and Ms. Natasha Lamb, Head of School for School of Business and Computing were also present to witness the awarding ceremonies.
