Senior High School students from the Southville International School affiliated with Foreign Universities (SISFU) recently participated in the first session of the SHS Workshop Series titled “Write Right: From Draft to Distinction in Pearson Papers.”
The interactive workshop, led by Ms. Mary Daradar—a certified Pearson Lecturer and one of SISFU’s lead Internal Verifiers—focused on enhancing students’ academic writing skills and strengthening their confidence as Pearson UK learners.
Throughout the session, participants were guided on crafting well-structured and compelling academic papers that align with Pearson UK’s international standards. The training emphasized critical thinking, clarity in communication, and academic precision—core competencies that define success in global education.
As part of SISFU’s continuing commitment to transnational academic excellence, the Pearson UK curriculum equips students with a strong foundation and a competitive global edge. Senior High School students who complete their Pearson subjects enjoy a distinct advantage: they can advance directly to Year 2 of college at SISFU, enabling them to earn a UK degree within a span of two years.
SISFU maintains academic partnerships with leading British universities, including De Montfort University—its long-standing partner—as well as the University of Central Lancashire and the University of Derby, among others. These collaborations allow students to pursue British-standard education while remaining in the Philippines.
Workshops such as “Write Right” exemplify SISFU’s mission of preparing students for the world—developing future leaders who write, think, and perform with global competence and confidence.
