Southville International School Affiliated with Foreign Universities (SISFU), the premier international school in the Philippines offering UK degrees, continues to strengthen its role as a leader in transnational education. The SISFU Executive Committee and Management Team—Mr. Rex Wallen Tan, Dr. Jocelyn Tizon, Dr. Melva Diamante, Dr. Nancy De Guia, Mr. Daniel Steel, Mr. Leo Anoche, Mr. Gio Pastor, and Ms. Zheela Montecillo—recently paid a courtesy visit to Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner Ethel Agnes Valenzuela.
The visit opened the doors for a meaningful discussion on how international schools like SISFU can further expand world-class opportunities for Filipino students. The conversation centered on the future of transnational higher education in the country, as well as SISFU’s initiatives to make international qualifications more accessible to local learners.
During the meeting, SISFU highlighted two of its most notable global partnerships: its 10-year academic collaboration with De Montfort University (DMU) in the United Kingdom, recognized for its business and creative programs, and its 18-year alliance with Pearson BTEC, provider of career-focused international qualifications. These partnerships allow students in the Philippines to earn globally recognized degrees and diplomas without leaving the country.
By fostering strong ties with CHED and international partners, SISFU reaffirms its mission to provide quality global education, preparing Filipino graduates to thrive in international careers, industries, and communities.
With its track record in transnational education, SISFU continues to set the benchmark for international schools in the Philippines—bridging the gap between local learning and global opportunities. For more information about their programs, visit www.sisfu.edu.ph.
